So, right now you might be thinking... Why Kyleigh?
• I am a graduate of the UC Berkeley Extension College Admissions and Career Planning Program.
• I have worked as an Application Reader for a very selective private research university, so I have unique insight into the process of college admissions.
• I am a volunteer for ScholarMatch and Matchlighters, and I have guided students who were QuestBridge and Gates Scholarship recipients.
• I am a member of two professional organizations, The Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and The Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). I also continue my education through a variety of programs and I attend the University of California and California State University College Counselor Conferences every year. Through my membership in professional organizations, I stay abreast of trends in college admissions and I have a wide array of resources at my fingertips.
• I have worked in Sales and Marketing for four Fortune 500 companies, and I use my experience and skills when I help students plan their high school academic and extracurricular path. I look for ways to help students explore their interests in an organic and strategic manner, so they can present themselves in an authentic and compelling manner in the college admissions process.
• I am the founder, host, and moderator of a “Book Club” for College Counselors, where we continue learning and sharing resources. If I don’t have an answer for something, I know someone who does!

• I am also a parent and I have been through the college application process with my daughter, so I understand the emotions and pressure that students and families face. I believe that maintaining a peaceful relationship during the final year before they go off to college is critical. I can help take the pressure off the parent-child relationship. I am proud that my daughter was accepted to 25 universities and she is now thriving at UC Berkeley and we are closer than ever!
